Our Story
- Because of our role as an essential supplier of life supporting water treatment products and services to the food and municipal treatment industries, we remained open for business during the entire Corona Virus pandemic.
- We use tried and true products, but remain open to using newer process chemicals and blends where it makes sense. In the end, we need to use the best product that matches your current conditions.
- We are a known local leader in the Berks and Lehigh County areas for providing quality chemicals to, what had been, smaller underserved utilities and industries while at the same time still remaining cost effective. With that being said, most of our growth has been mostly organic with customers talking about what we had done for them, for the first time many of them felt "heard" and important. This was particularly important with small systems with only one operator.
- We started in this business at time when the only customers getting what was then considered a reasonable level of service, including delivery, were those larger type systems buying in larger amounts. At that time, we worked at a small plant, one that time just wasn't worth the salesmen's time and effort in supplying the smaller amounts as the amount of perceived profit was too small. For one or two systems maybe the profitability was too small , but for a larger group of smaller systems equalling in size of one or more larger systems maybe the answer is yes. This is how we run our business, we know first hand what it's like being the "small" guy.
- While getting chemicals delivered was a "tall order", it was made worse by the scarcity of technical help operators needed to help us figure it out how to make the chemicals work in their process and we needed that same help in the beginning. Thankfully, we were able to able to find the one in a million chemical supplier who became our mentor and guide and helped us figure "it" out. After a while, we began helping others that were having the same problems we once had. From there, it was a "small step" to begin helping others on a larger scale by supplying products and the techical help needed to make the process work better under a larger number of conditions, making the operator's job less stressful. In the end, it's our job to make the operator's job easier and less stressful.
